Charity and Church Consultancy
Jim has a wealth of experience in Christian ministry throughout the world particularly as a Christian church and charity consultant. He has been involved in consultancy in countries as diverse as Australia and Armenia, Romania and Russia. As Chief Executive with CCI he travelled throughout the UK advising churches and charities on building projects, charity management, strategic planning, running trustee retreats and working with senior management teams. Does your governance need an outside overview to see if you are complying with current Charity Commission or OSCR requirements? Does your church leadership need a refresh? Have you got your policies in place?
According to Charity Commission statistics, more than 90 Christian charities were picked up for operational compliance issues and investigated.
“The bottom line is, good governance is no longer an optional extra. It’s essential to charities’ effectiveness and probably their survival too. Charities need to be able to demonstrate that they take it seriously, allowing it to change the way they operate.”
Sarah Atkinson, Director of Policy and Communications at the Charity Commission
In many churches the leadership teams never invest in their leaders. Training and development drop off the bottom of the agenda for lack of time and it then begins to show. Has your church or organisation got a strategic ministry plan? Do you sense a need for new direction?
Jim can help with:
Every charity consultancy is tailor made and provided at a very reasonable cost. Why not get in touch and discuss your specific needs?

“Jim’s work on governance and steering us through a two year change management process has been critical to our current growth and success. Worth every penny!”
Dr. Jenny Taylor, Former Director, Lapidomedia
“In my 25 years’ experience of leading charities I have had poor experience with some consultants. If they don’t interfere they tell us what we already know and charge us for it. Jim Hammett is an exception by becoming an extension member of the leadership team; bolting onto the team his immense expertise, experience and varied skills; and unobtrusively guiding them through the issues.”
Steve Bell, Former National Director, Interserve
"...You have been an amazing inspiration and mentor to us and have helped contribute to the ongoing success of our board and trustees and kept us going when the going got tough...."
Paul & Sue Norton, Dunfield House
"Jim's consultancy support on business planning and strategic development was a tremendous help in enabling the residential activity centre I managed move into a much more sustainable position. The day he ran for the Trustees was described as the 'single most useful day I have ever spent as a trustee' by one of the long-standing trustees."
Mark Heybourne, Children, Youth & Families Development Manager at Diocese of Norwich
“Your time with us was brilliant and it highlighted just what BAPA's potential is..”
Andrew Gardiner, BAPA Chairman 2013
