“Jim has made a huge difference to our building project by giving us practical, supportive advice since he was engaged by us 4 years ago. He has provided guidance on the whole process, from design brief, through church and community engagement, estimating, budgeting, financing, grant applications, timescales, even to how many teaspoons to order!”
Jeremy Binley, Chair of Towcester Baptist Church Build Team
“I would highly recommend the services of Jim Hammett – Christian Consulting. We had an ambitious project, on a tight budget, and Jim led the whole project through to completion excellently. He was always on hand, flexible, professional – and we never would have managed it without him.”
Rev. Jim Thomas, Baptist Union, Hampshire area
“Jim has guided our £3.1 million building project with energy, expertise, ideas and support which has often gone over and above our contract with him. We could not have completed Phase 1 without his leadership and we are now entering Phase 2.”
Richard Clark, Former Chair of Trustees, Shenley Christian Fellowship
"Thank you so much for all the help you have given our church with phase 2 of our build project. Your commitment and professional manner are an inspiration and a blessing to churches."
Stephen Brazell, Chair of Building Development Team, Stony Stratford Community Church
"Since bringing Jim in to support our building development project, we have benefited significantly from his expertise, organisation and drive. He has brought direction, worked closely with us to cement the team, and enabled us to navigate the potentially treacherous waters of engaging the whole church family behind our project. I would recommend any church considering their own redevelopment project to engage with Jim.”
Steve Wood, Minister, Newport Pagnell Baptist Church
"...He has worked with great passion and energy and his wisdom and experience have been of great benefit to countless individuals, organisations and centres both in this country and overseas...."
Simon Barker, Scripture Union (England & Wales)
“Your mini seminar on how we should structure our internal and external fundraising for our church centre building project really helped focus people’s minds on lining up all the ducks in an organised way. The way you pointed us in the right direction is saving us thousands on VAT on professional fees.”
Alan Sloan, Business Planning Sub Group, Dumfries Baptist Church
“A reader recently sent me details of an excellent website www.churchbuildingprojects.co.uk/how-to, that contains a treasure trove of advice on church buildings. Amongst the articles there was a particularly brilliant piece on VAT and church buildings, which I thought would be useful to readers of Church Buildings and Heritage Review magazine…” Michael Winterbottom, Assistant Editor CB&HR.
